Teaching Experience

  • Since 1990 (34 years).
  • 4 years Residency + 4 years Clinical Lecturer + 28 years ENT Consultant.
  • As 3rd Resident and Asst. Medical Officer, taught undergraduate and post-grad students.
  • As 4th year Resident & Lecturer, taught undergraduate and postgraduate (MS-ENT) students. Also took lectures for Nursing Staff and Audiology and Speech therapy students.
  • Lecturer for DNB (ENT); MBBS students and student nurses at Bombay Hospital & SNDT College.
  • Coordinator (Assoc. Professor) and guide for DNB (National Board) Post-graduate programme in ENT at Bombay Hospital from 2005 till 2017.
  • Programme Director for Fellowship Programme in Endoscopic sinus & Skullbase surgery since Feb. 2007.
  • Director of the skullbase division of the Indian Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery.

Surgical Experience

Extensive experience in all ENT, Head & Neck and Skullbase surgeries Special interest in Endoscopic Skullbase surgeries including CSF repair, Pituitary, Chordoma, Craniopharyngioma and skullbase tumour surgery amongst other
pathologies.

Performed amongst the highest number of endoscopic pituitary and skullbase surgeries in India (Over 2000)

Surgical Training Abroad

Completed a study tour abroad in 1995, visiting various centres in specialized ENT fields in Europe and USA. Centres where training was imparted include the following:

Klinik in Ulm, Germany; Dr. Gubisch at the Marien Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany; Prof. Hildmann at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Bochum, Germany; Prof. Claus Walter at the Klinikan Rosenberg in Heiden, Switzerland; Prof. Ugo Fisch at the University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland; Prof. P.A.R. Clement at the A.Z.-V.U.B. (University of Brussels) in Brussels, Belgium; The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London, UK; Dr. H. Dedo at the Medical Centre, University of San Francisco, in San Francisco, USA and with Dr. Brackmann, Dr. House at the House ear Institute in Los Angeles, USA.
