Foreign Body Removal

It is not unusual for foreign bodies to get stuck in the nasal passage. Children often put various objects such as erasers, paper, buttons and batteries, food items etc.. Occasionally these get stuck and require removal. This is best done by an ENT specialist as there is danger of trauma or pushing it further deep in inexperienced hands. Usually these can be removed easily in the clinic and only rarely require general anesthesia in a hospital setting.
