Grommet Insertion with Adenoid Resection
In young children, large adenoids (tonsil like tissue in the nasopharynx) can cause nose blocking and obstruct the openings of the eustachian tubes using fluid build up in the middle ear and hearing loss. When medical treatment fails to resolve the issue, we recommend a myringotomy and grommet insertion with endoscopic adenoid surgery (Coblation method). This is done under general anesthesia in hospital.
